A porno filmmaker was fined in an arbitration held at a remote village in Moheshpur upazila of Jhenidah district recently. The culprit was identified as Rahmat Ali, owner of Muslim Hotel at Purapara Bazaar under Moheshpur upazila.
Informed sources said that on a false plea, Rahmat Ali invited a poor innocent girl of village Shayamnagar several times.
He prepared a number of porno films with her in an adjacent room of his hotel and gave some remuneration to the girl every time.
Rahamat Ali copied the films and sold to various people in the bazaar and other villages.
The matter came to the notice of the local headmen and they sat in an arbitration meeting in the rice mill of former UP member Abdul Mojid at Purapara Bazaar on July 8.
Alauddin Mia, the UP member, presided over the meeting.
The meeting was also addressed by former UP member Abdul Mojid, Bazaar committee member Shariful Islam and others. In the meeting, the victim girl, her parents, the miscreant Rahmat Ali and his father were also present. The arbitration found Rahmat Ali guilty and fined him Tk 22,000. He had to give the compensation to the mother of the victim girl then and there.
Md Abdul Moijd, former UP chairman, told this correspondent that they gave the minimum punishment to Rahmat Ali as he begged pardon for his misdeeds and assured not to engage himself in such immoral activity in future.
