The Premier Division Chess League 2013 starts at 2:30pm today at the Bangladesh Chess Federation. The league will feature nine teams: Sreejan Chess Club, Leonine Chess Club, Faith Chess Club, Titas Club, Pritam-Prism Chess Club Narayanganj, Gopalganj Chess Club, Bangladesh Navy Chess Team, Access Group Chess Club and reigning champions Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited.The competition will be held using a round-robin system. In today’s first round, Dhaka Mohammedan will play against Bangladesh Navy Chess Team. Dhaka Mohammedan boasts four grandmasters in Amonatov Farrukh of Tajikistan, Volkov Sergey of Russian, Ziaur Rahman and Niaz Murshed, while Bangladesh Navy counters with grandmasters Abdullah Al Rakib, Reefat Bin Sattar and Enamul Hossain.
