Eid Music Albums
Producers prefer quantity
Producers prefer quantityA large number of audio and video albums are going to hit the market during the Eid-Ul-Azha and Durga Puja many of which are already in
market for the music lovers.
Around 70 audio and video albums will reach the market during
the Puja and Eid festivals.
But the list of releases by different production houses seems to be promoting the emerging or new singers. Famous singers or music bands are almost out of the scene this time.
Among the albums by popular singers Ferdous Ara, Samina Chowdhury, Topu, Asif, Nancy and few others – in solo, duet or mixed albums – can be seen. Comparably, more new and emerging artistes have come up with solo, duet and mixed albums.
The maximum number of albums is being brought out by G-series and Agniveena. These two production houses will bring almost half of the total productions by nine production houses. Different genres of music – classic to rock, Tagore to modern – are in the list. However, comtemporary music and solo albums dominate the list of releases this Eid.
Solo albums like Topu’s Ar Tomake; Tausif’s Onubhab; Saju’s Autograph Photograph; solos by many new singers and some mixed albums are going to be released by G-series and Agniveena.
Noted production house Laser Vision is bringing around 10 albums. Their repertory looks varied. Samina Chowdhury’s solo album titled Cholo Banchi; duet album Kanta Nite Keu Keno Asena by Priyanka Gope and Mamun Zahid; Ebadul Haque Soikat’s instrumental solo Peace Love Devotion; Kwawali album Kurbani by Dr Samir Kawal are in the list of Laser Vision.
Besides, the house has already released an album comprising songs of the Eid movie Purna Dhougho Premkahini.
The relatively new production houses are not lagging behind in coming up with catchy albums for the music lovers.
The production house CD Choice will release seven albums – five mixed and two solos. The solos are Elias Ahmed’s Na Bola Kotha 2 and Selim Ahmed’s Jabo Bhalobese. Among the mixed albums are Ore Priya, Mon Pajore, Obak Prem, Hridoy Jure and Nil Akash Chhuye. Songs of noted singers like Bappa Majumder, Nancy, Arefin Rumey, Kazi Shuvo, Rinku, Sabbir, Nirjhor, Kishore, and Shahid can be heard in the mixed albums; along with songs of many new promising singers.
ME Label is releasing three albums titled 360 by Various Artists; Amjonota and Chador. 360 by Various Artists is a mixed album, whereas Chador is a solo album by singer Bassbaba Sumon and Amjonota contains numbers by the popular music band Aurthohin.
Eagle Music is releasing around ten albums. Hiru Fakir’s solo folk album Railgari; an album featuring songs of the film Prem Prem Paglami; a mixed album Ekla Aguntak, and others are in the list of Eagle Music.
Arb Entertainment will release a duet album Jhograr Gaan by Asif and Nancy; and another duet album by Asif and Shoshi titled Pujar Gaan.
Production House Sangeeta is releasing around ten albums. Munny Akter Maria’s solo album Sundor Mon; RH Rasel’s solo album Sakkhi Theko; Shampa Dewan’s solo album Bangla Mon; Begum Afia’s solo album Sukh Tara; duet album Ekhono Bhalobasi by Saju and Akhi Alamgir; and a mixed album Ek Mutho Rood are in the list of Sangeeta.
Impress Audio Vision has released one of the most attractive albums this Eid. The house has brought out the prominent Nazrul singer Ferdous Ara’s triple-disc album Amar Sera, containing as many as 37 popular Nazrul numbers.
