The QUBEE Summer Laptop Fair 2011 began on Friday at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the Dhaka city with the theme ‘lit the light of technology’.
The state minister for science and information and communication technology, Yeafesh Osman, inaugurated the three-day fair.
The state minister said the government wanted to provide technology for all and the laptop fair would help people receive digital service through digital device.
The SICT ministry adviser Munir Hasan, QUBEE’s head of marketing Nehal Ahmed, convener of the fair Fabian Khan were present at the inaugural ceremony.
A leading 4th generation internet service provider, QUBEE is the title sponsor of the 9th laptop fair.
HP, Compaq, Samsung, Dell, Fujitsu, Gateway, Gigabyte, Asus, Lenovo, Toshiba, Acer, MSI, Apple etc brands of laptops are available with special discount and gift hampers.
There are 13 pavilions and 45 stalls at the fair.
The fair would remain open from 10am-8pm everyday till June 12. Entry fee is Tk 20.
