The Radharaman Lok Sangeet Utsab 2022 will start on Friday at the Nazrul Mancha of the Bangla Academy in the capital.
This was announced at a news conference that took place on Wednesday in the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Seminar Room.
Mahmud Selim, president of the Radharaman Sangskriti Charcha Kendra, and Bishwajit Roy, general secretary, addressed the media. Some of the notable people who attended the news conference were the singer Akramul Islam and the ex-director general of Bangladesh Betar, Narayan Chandra Shil.
The 12th annual three-day folk music festival will take place from November 25-27 with the sponsorship of the ministry of cultural affairs and will feature folk music presentations and dance performances.
Since 2011, we’ve been promoting Radharaman’s music through this festival. We initially held the celebration at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy. Mahmud Selim explained that because they were unable to secure permission from the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy to host the festival, they would instead hold it at the Bangla Academy.
