Rahmatganj MFS moved to joint second in the Bangladesh Premier League points table after they secured a 2-2 draw against Arambagh Krira Sangha in Mymensingh on Tuesday.
It was Rahmatganj’s third draw in five matches which put them level with Muktijoddha Sangshad Krira Chakra and Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club with nine points each while Arambagh earned six points to be placed fourth.
Congolese forward Siyo Zunapio put Rahmatganj ahead five minutes into the start with a powerful drive after Sohel Miah’s header found him on edge of the box.
Arambagh levelled the margin in the 13th minute when Cameroonian Yoko Samnick put a long ball to Sajidul, who dodged a defender before firing home past Rahmatganj keeper Masum.
Arambagh extended the lead in the 21st
minute when Shariful’s header on an Abdullah corner found the back of the net.
Mahbub ensured one point for Rahmatganj in the 64th minute when he sent the ball home following a nice through from Dawda Cessay.
