A three-day information and communication technology fair begins at Uttara Community Center in Rajshahi on September 30.
Inpace Management Services Ltd is organising the fair titled ‘Rajshahi ICT Fair 2010’.
The Rajshahi mayor, AKM Khairuzzaman Liton, will inaugurate the fair as chief guest, while Professor Md Shahid Uz Zaman, head of the department of computer science and engineering, Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology, and Mustafa Jabbar, president of Bangladesh Computer Samity, will be present as special guests.
Leading IT personalities from all over the country and other distinguished persons of the city will also be present at the inaugural function.
In this connection, a press conference was held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity on Tuesday where various aspects of the fair were highlighted.
Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman, director of Inpace Management Services Ltd, said, ‘The fair will enable the people of Rajshahi to get acquainted with latest technologies including hardware and software.’
HP Imaging and Printing Group and Intel Corporation will be sponsoring the three-day event, he said.
Rahman said about 20 stalls will be set up at the fair by the country’s leading IT firms.
