Rajshahi defeated Barisal by 131 runs in the 15th National Cricket League on Sunday to go joint-top of the standings while the other two matches of the second round ended in draws.
Dhaka, like Rajshahi, are also at the summit after crushing Chittagong by an innings and 99 runs on Saturday in Rangpur. Dhaka and Rajshahi are the only two sides in the four-day competition with a 100 percent record.
Rajshahi v Barisal
Barisal, resuming on their overnight score of 48-2 in pursuit of 369, folded for 238 as hosts Rajshahi registered a 131-run victory at Shaheed Kamruzzaman Stadium.
Barisal lost their last eight wickets for 190 runs to give Rajshahi their second win in as many matches.
Iftekhar Nayeem, brother of national cricketer Shahriar Nafees, top-scored with 75 for Barisal as Shafiul Islam (3-34) and Delwar Hossain (4-38) helped Rajshahi to the victory.
Rajshahi had posted 330 in their first innings and gained a lead of 99 runs as Barisal were all out for 231.
Rajshahi then declared their second innings on 270-9.
Dhaka Metro v Sylhet
Dhaka Metro, who were 119-2 before play started on the final day, added a further 174 runs for the loss of five wickets before declaring their second innings on 293-7 at BKSP 3, Savar.
Asif Ahmed Ratul (106 not out) led the way for Dhaka Metro.
Sylhet, faced with an improbable target of 324 in 18 overs, scored 72-1 in reply as the match concluded in a draw.
Khulna v Rangpur
Khulna, who resumed on 252-8, added four runs for the loss of a wicket before declaring to give Rangpur a target of 381.
Rangpur were batting well as they scored 266-4 before the umpires called off play as the match ended in a draw.
