Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha during a drive on Wednesday sentenced five people each
to one year imprisonment for violating law in the capital.
The convicted are Abdul Karim, Abdul Hanif, Muzaffar Hossain, Harunur Rashid and Bikash Roy.
They were caught by the mobile court while they were busy setting up structures near the Gulshan Lake in violation of Wetland Protection Act.
The mobile court, led
by magistrate Rokon-Ud-Doula, demolishes some illegal buildings near the lake.
Rajuk chairman Nurul Huda was also present in the operation of the mobile court.
