The police arrested a Rajshahi Medical College Hospital ward boy on Monday on
the charge of stealing medicine from the hospital.
The arrestee was identified as Lutfor Rahman, police said.
The Rajpara police officer-in-charge, ABM Rezaul Islam, told New Age that since long a syndicate of some RMCH staff was stealing government medicine from the hospital.
Subinspector Monowar Hossain arrested Lutfor Monday morning as he returned to the hospital after passing a five-day leave, the OC further said.
After primary interrogation, Lufor Rahman was produced in the court and he was sent to jail, police said.
Earlier on May 9, the police also arrested a woman named Anjumanara with medicine of worth Tk 50,000.
