A policeman was killed and another injured as a truck hit their motorbike at Ashulia in Savar on Tuesday morning. Deceased Mizanur Rahman, 45, a constable of Armed Police Battalion, hailed from Sirajganj, while the identity of the injured policeman could not be known immediately as he was in an unconscious state. Mohammad Sheikh Farid, officer-in-charge of Turag Police Station, said a sand-leaden truck hit their motorbike on Dhaka-Tangail highway in Dhur area near Ashulia Toll Plaza at around 7:30am on way to Uttara from their Ashulia residence, leaving them critically injured. He died at DMCH.
