At least five people, including a minor, were killed and six others injured in separate road accidents in Comilla, Brahmanbaria, Lalmonirhat and Gopalganj yesterday and on Sunday.
UNB from Comilla reports: A mother and her son were killed when a bus ran them over at Hatirkhola on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway yesterday.
The deceased were identified as Josna Begum, 35, and her son Salauddin, 12, of Shahananagar of Debiddar upazila.
The accident occurred when a Dhaka-bound bus crushed them while they were crossing the road at around 11:00am.
Police sent the bodies for autopsy.
Our Correspondent from Brahmanbaria adds: One person was killed and five others were injured when a bus and a CNG-run-tempo collided head at Shantinagar village of Sarail upazila of on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Md Sayed Ali, 45, of Habiganj district.
The body was sent to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
A case was filed with Sarail Police station in this regard.
Our Correspondent from Lalmonirhat says: An old man was killed in a road accident in Bhelabari village of Aditmari upazila at noon yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Karim Sheikh, 68, resident of the same village.
The accident occurred when Karim was hit by a Lalmonirhat town-bound microbus while crossing the Chaparhat-Lalmonirhat road.
A Correspondent from Gopalganj adds: A motorcyclist was killed and another injured in a road accident in Chechanikandi area in Sadar Gopalganj on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Chhoton Khan, 27, son of Abdul Mannan of Janata road area. He was also the president of Pouro Jubo League of ward-6.
