Former Bangladesh Cricket Board president Saber Hossain Chowdhury has challenged his opponent in the impending BCB election, current president Nazmul Hasan, to an open debate on television or any other platform. Saber, who was the BCB chief from 1997 to 2001, defied Nazmul to join in a discussion after a press conference at his residence in Poribagh on Friday.‘It seems [Nazmul] is like a moving boat. He is saying different things at different times. It becomes difficult to determine what his last word is. If he appears on television alongside me, he will not be able to say ten kinds of things,’ Saber said.
‘He claims he has proof and plans to unmask me. I challenge him to an open debate. Everything will be out in the open; it is better that way,’ he added.
The BCB election is set to be held sometime in September or October after the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court cleared the way for an election last month.
