Md Sabur Khan, chairman, Daffodil International University and Daffodil Family received the Award of ‘World Book of Records’ on Monday at an award receiving ceremony.
World Book of Records is a UK-based organisation that certifies, verifies and records extraordinary achievements around the world.
This year Md Sabur Khan has been felicitated by the ‘World Book of Records’ a UK-based organisation in recognition of his outstanding performance and contribution to education and ICT sector of Bangladesh.
Daffodil International University organised an award receiving ceremony of World Book of Records at International Conference Hall of Daffodil International University at Daffodil Smart City at Ashulia in Dhaka.
Md Jashim Uddin, president, Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry was present as chief guest while Mostafa Azad Chowdhury Babu were present as special guest in the program.
Diwakar Sukul, global president of World Book of Records joined the event by video conference and president of the Bangladesh section of World Book of Records Raoman Smitha joined physically in the programme.
Presided over by M Lutfar Rahman, vice-chancellor, Daffodil International University, the programme was also addressed by Md Sabur Khan, founder and chairman of Daffodil International University, S M Mahabub Ul haque Mazumder, pro-vice-chancellor, Mominul Haque Mazumder, treasurer, Mohammad Nuruzzaman, chief executive officer of Daffodil Family.
FBCCI president Md Jashim Uddin said that recognition of any work inspires people. ‘We are delighted to be awarded this award to someone who continues to champion youth; the youth of the country is working tirelessly to advance the society.’
Better to hear he’s still working on it. He also launched the Department of Entrepreneurship Development at Daffodil International University.
He emphasised the importance of universities on expanding industry-academia linkages and announced the signing of MoU between FBCCI and Daffodil International University on expanding industry-academia linkages.
