Eminent Tagore singer Sadi Muhammad will be performing in live concerts in three Scandinavian countries of Europe – Sweden, Denmark and Norway. He is leaving Dhaka next week for a fortnight tour in the three countries.
The celebrated singer has been invited by the Bangladeshi expatriates living in the Scandinavian countries and they will be the
major audience in the concerts, informed Sadi Muhammad.
‘When my performance let those expatriates feel at home, it is a satisfaction for me as well. I had a very good experience when I performed in those cities earlier,’ Sadi Muhammad told New Age.

His tour will begin from the Swedish capital Stockholm on November 23 then he will move to the Norwegian capital Oslo to perform on November 29 and he will be ending his tour with the concert in the Danish capital Copenhagen in December.
Sadi Muhammad shared that he has listed a variety of songs that he is going to present at the concerts. ‘Besides popular Tagore numbers, I will also sing songs of the yesteryears and some patriotic songs. But in such programmes, the song selection mostly depends on the choices of the audience,’ further said Muhammad.
The talented singer will be releasing his next Tagore album in December. ‘The album will contain 12 songs of Tagore. I chose the songs that are not that familiar with an intention of introducing the audience to more great works of Tagore,’ said Muhammad who also informed that the songs in the album include Kul theke mor gaaner tori, Ami nishi nishi tobo, and several others.
Sadi also said that the album will get release and be distributed by Bengal Foundation. ‘The music is already done and the songs are now waiting for my voice.
I was really busy for some reasons so I could not get the time to record. However, I hope to complete the recording as soon as possible,’ said Sadi about the production of the album.
Sadi Muhammad developed his skills as a singer under the guidance of legendary Tagore singers such as Sri Shantideb Ghosh and Kanika Bandyopadhyay at Shantiniketan, India. He has also been long involved in teaching music.
