Actor Sajal will be seen in several teleplays on different television channels during upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr festival. The actor shared about his Eid projects and celebrations in an interview with New Age.
‘I can’t say the exact number of teleplays that I have acted in for this Eid but all the directors I have acted with are renowned,’ said Sajal. The actor informed that he has worked with directors like Mohon Khan, Tanvir Ahmed, Shamim Shahed, Taher Shipan, Sokal Ahmed, Rahamatullah Tuhin, Aranya Imon, Sakhawat Manik, Roman Rumee, Sokal Ahmed, S A Haque Alik, Shaheen Kabir Tutul, and others.
Sajal is particularly excited about a particular play named Ghunpoka, which has been directed by Sakhawat Manik. ‘The play, which will be aired on Maasranga TV at 11:30pm on sixth day of Eid, is completely different from the plays I generally act in,’ said Sajal, who also told that he has played a negative character in that play. ‘It is a complex character who tries to cheat on a woman, played by Sadia Islam Mou,’ further shared Sajal.
Sajal has recently completed shooting for his debut film Run Out by Tanmoy Tanshen, which will be released sometime this year. He will be paired with another TV actor Moushumi Nag in the film. Run Out also stars senior actors like Tariq Anam Khan and Misha Soudagar.
‘The film is about the story of a common, middleclass man who accidentally gets involved in a crime,’ said the actor. He found acting in a film quite challenging, but he really enjoyed working in the film, especially in the fighting scenes as it reminded him of his childhood days when he used to wrestle with his friends.
Sajal will be away from the country during Eid. ‘I have been invited to perform at a show organised by Bangladeshi expatriates in Qatar, so I will leave Dhaka on the day before Eid,’ the actor informed.
‘I will be missing my country and family but celebrating Eid with expatriates is also a great experience. I celebrated Eid in Qatar before with the Bangladeshis living there, and it gave me great happiness to feel the love of those people for the country,’ observed Sajal.
