All-rounder Sakib al Hasan leaves today for England to participate in the Friends Life Twenty20 tournament for his county side Leicestershire, making him unavailable for the
first few matches of the forthcoming Dhaka Premier League.
Sakib will make a brief stay in the UK before flying to the United States to visit his in-laws for the first time since his high-profile marriage on December 12 last year.
He is expected to return to England on June 23 to play in the T20 competition and is in line to participate in the inaugural edition of the franchise-based Caribbean Premier League T20. He made the CPL shortlist alongside team-mate Tamim Iqbal and if picked at the June 5 auction in Jamaica, he will fly to the Caribbean from the UK.
He is expected to return before the home series against New Zealand in October if everything goes according to plan.
