All-rounder Sakib al Hasan is all set to miss next few rounds of National Cricket League as he is going for a leave to attend his pregnant wife in America, said Bangladesh Cricket Board officials on Saturday.
Sakib has been granted a leave till mid November but might have to return early if Zimbabwe agrees to play according to BCB’s new proposal where they are asked to play the Test series in November.
‘He [Sakib al Hasan] has been granted a leave,’ BCB chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury told New Age on Saturday.
‘But he will be available if he is required for the national interest,’ the CEO added.
BCB is trying to bring Zimbabwe in November for the two Test matches and play the remaining part of the series compromised with three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 internationals in February.
