Salman Khan: The next angry man of Bollywood?

With the list of fights and feuds it won’t be long before Sallu finds no friends
Salman Khan’s mood swings and erratic behavious have all been written and talked about. No one knows what triggers Salman to lose his temper. What really makes him laugh or angry.
After lying low for many years it is believed that his recent hits has triggered the fresh round of bad behaviours. Undoubtedly his volatile angry streaks have earned him many foes in the industry. Picking up fights, sporadic drunken brawls at pals’ parties bullying around is common with Sallu.
The ‘Dabangg’ Khan’s hit-list of friends turning foes is long. We bring to you few that made sensational headlines.
Salman and Shahrukh’s friendship go a long way. But in 2002, Salman disrupted SRK’s Chalte Chalte shoot for reasons of broken heart with Aishwarya. This incident lead to a spat between the two. In 2008 again, the boys fell out completely at Katrina’s birthday bash, and ever since they don’t see eye to eye.
Sallu have been at loggerheads with Bunty Walia ever since the filmmaker and Sohail Khan’s business partnership went kaput. And things came to a head at Manyata Dutt’s recent birthday bash, when Sallu approached the director for a ‘chat’. The chat went on to become a spat.
Long-time best buddy, Sanjay Dutt, was caught in the crossfire between Salman and Bunty Walia at wife Manyata’s party. Long after Bunty left the scene Sanju baba continued to party with Salman. But things went wrong when Sanju hosted a special dinner for SRK and Bunty, the very next day. Pictures of Sanju and SRK hugging each other were splashed in all newspapers and the message was clear to Salman that Sanju had other friends in town.
Former girlfriend Aishwarya insisted that, “I stood by [Salman], enduring his alcoholic misbehaviour and in turn I was at the receiving end of his abuse, infidelity and indignity.” Things never improved between the two.
Vivek Oberoi called the wrath upon himself when he called a press conference in April 2003 to reveal that Sallu had threatened him for dating Aishwarya. Since then, Salman has not forgiven Vivek, even though the actor has tried his best.
John Abraham faced Salman’s ire during a tour 2006. John accused Sallu of being ‘bossy’. After the shooting of ‘Babul’ Salman said he will never work John again.
Well the list goes on from Shahid Kapoo to Bipasha Basu, Hrithik Roshan even Katrina Kaif.
Salman did not spare his directors too.
There was a time when Sanjay Leela Bhansali was a close friend. But Salman accused the director of exploiting the disabled in Guzaarish. Sanjay hit back at Salman with a flurry of choosen words.
It’s not just his peers who’ve faced Salman’s fierce anger. Ready director, Aneez Bazmee, faced some major problems during the Bangkok leg of the movie, even abandoning the shoot mid-way through and returning to Mumbai.
His Dabangg director Abhinav Kashyap apparently claimed that he didn’t want to fight it out with the “bossy” Khans all over again. This came out when he refued to do the sequel of the movie. There were rumours of conflict ini the set of Dabangg.
Industry insiders are claiming that it’s Salman’s sudden rise to fame after the recent hits has given him a seeming sense of invincibility and entitlement.
His lazy, unprofessional attitude had many seeing red. Salman seems to be getting carried away after the taste of success. He demands more money than ever before. This doesn’t end here, he recommends directors and heroines for his films. Salman’s keen to be the person to appoint his directors too, opting to use close pals, or even take over directing duties himself.
Is success getting into Salman’s head? Sallu’s wrongful ways are definitely not going down the right way for many in the industry.
