A schoolboy was abducted for ransom at village Madubpur in Burichang upazila of Comilla district on Monday evening. The abducted was Habibur Rahman, 10, son of Harun Mia of the village. He is a student of Class III of Nimser Primary School. Family said on Monday evening an unknown person, introducing himself as a villagemosque committee secretary, took Habibur Rahman to an ifter party and since then Habib went missing.
Later, an unknown caller demanded Tk 2 lakh ransom from Habib’s father.
