A Bangladeshi team will compete for the d’Orsi Senior Trophy at the 41st World Bridge Championship in Bali, Indonesia from September 16.
The team of Azizul Haque, Khandokar Muzharul Haque, ATM Moazzem Hussain, AK Feroz Ahmed, Sajid Ispahani, Jahirul Haque and SM Rezaul Karim qualified after finishing second at the Bridge Federation of Asia and The Middle East Championship earlier this year. The team departs for the 22-team competition on Sunday.
‘We have been participating in many international tournaments regularly since 1997 but this time the occasion is different. We are proud that we are going to take part in the World Championship,’ said Bangladesh Bridge Federation general secretary Mezbahur Rahman Khan.
