Noted popular Nazrul artiste Shahin Samad performed at regular monthly arrangement of the Bengal Foundation, ‘Pran-er Khela’, at the Bengal Shilpalaya in the city recently. It was a month-long programme of the Foundation to mark the 112th birth anniversary of our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. In the musical soiree, Shahin Samad rendered some popular Nazrul songs including “Bou kotha kou”, “Sanjher Pakhira”, “Shunyo e bukey”, “Ami poth monjuri”, “Borsha oi elo” and “Pordeshi megh”. Besides her performance Ebadul Haque Shaikot played setar with the composition of ragas ‘Jhunjhoti’ and ‘Khambaj’.
