This is for the second time that the Dhallywood heartthrob won the National Film Award.
In 2010, Shakib Khan won the award for his acting in the film Bhalobashlei Ghar Badha Jay Na.
‘Winning the national award is always exciting and encouraging since the award is the recognition of good works. I want to dedicate the award to hundreds of fans without whose ardent love and support I could not have achieved the success,’ Shakib Khan told New Age.
‘The national level recognition will make me more responsible and committed to my work and the film industry. I’ve already
taken an initiative to produce an international standard film and to promote it globally,’ said Shakib Khan said.

‘The shooting of the film will begin on the Valentine’s Day. We will shoot the film in different locations in Singapore, UK and Malaysia targeting the Bangladeshi expatriates living in those countries,’ Shakib Khan said.
Shakib Khan further said that he was busy acting in Wazed Ali Sumon’s action film Hitman.
Masud Rana emerged in Dhallywood as Shakib Khan through the film Sobai To Shukhi Hote Chay, directed by Rafiqul Islam, which was released in 2000.
