Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan has been ruled out from the third and final one-day international against Ireland after he suffered a finger injury while fielding in the second ODI in Chelmsford, England on May 12.
The third and final ODI will be played at the same venue on Sunday.
‘Shakib hurt the tip of his right index finger while attempting a catch yesterday [Friday] in the second ODI,’ national team physio Bayjedul Islam Khan was quoted as saying in a press release provided by BCB on Saturday night.
‘An X-ray today [Saturday] confirmed a fracture on the base of the index finger. Such injuries usually take around six weeks to heal. Unfortunately, this means he is not available for the last match against Ireland.’
