Shakib Al Hasan will miss the second Test against South Africa as the ace all-rounder left Dhaka for USA on Friday night due to family reasons, confirmed BCB cricket operations chairman Jalal Yunus.
‘Yes, Shakib will also miss the second Test against South Africa as he is leaving for USA tonight [Friday] because of his daughter’s school has opened,’ Jalal told to New Age from South Africa through WhatsApp on Friday.
Meanwhile Wasim Khan, the airport coordinator of the BCB, confirmed that the southpaw will leave Dhaka at 8:20 pm through Qatar Airlines.
Shakib returned home on March 24 after the conclusion of the ODI series against South Africa to be alongside with his ailing family members.
As a result, he misted the ongoing first Test in Durban against the Proteas.
The second and final Test of the series second Test is set to take place in Port Elizabeth from April 8 to 12.
