Shane Warne is hooked on diet shakes, it has been reported.
Aussie Rules footballer Steven Baker said that he sometimes ships weight loss drink TaiSlim to Warne when he is not in the country after first suggesting it to the cricketer a few months ago.
St Kilda player Baker told the Herald Sun: “I signed him up about three or four months ago on the diet system. He loves the stuff, he’s addicted.”
Warne has also taken to his Twitter page to hit back at people who accused girlfriend Elizabeth Hurley of forcing him into his recent 12kg weight loss. “I have always taken pride in my appearance and an attack on her is unfair,” he said. “I’m proud of how I look and worked my butt off for four months.”
He also left a tweet for Hurley reading: “Confession time – I had a bread roll today – sorry! please don’t hurt me or punish me and make me sleep in spare room!!!”
Hurley recently defended her sports star lover when he was accused of having various cosmetic procedures by the press. She said: “SW does not wear eye makeup or have an ‘eye liner tattoo’… his eyes were born that way. Neither does he wear lip gloss.”
The pair also joked about the reports on Twitter, with Hurley quipping to Warne that she would “perhaps pin [you] down and re-tattoo your eyeliner”.
The couple were first romantically linked in December last year, around the same time that Hurley announced her split from husband Arun Nayar.
