Shehzad Munim joins BAT Bangladesh as its managing director today as he becomes the first ever Bangladeshi to take the position in over 100 years of BAT’s operation in Bangladesh, said a press release. Prior to this appointment, Shehzad worked as the marketing director of the company’s South Asia Area. Shehzad joined BATB right after his graduation from Institute of Business Administration, Dhaka University in 1997.
In just 16 years at BAT, he has served in many senior management positions in Bangladesh, New Zealand, Australia and South Asia Area headquarters in Pakistan. Under his leadership, BAT South Asia Area achieved its highest ever turnover and the biggest market share.
