Four national women cricketers received show-cause notices from their services organization, Bangladesh Ansar as it was claimed that they toured India with the national team in April without prior permission.
Ayesha Akhter, Chameli Khatun, Shahnaz Parvin and Tithi Rani Sarker are the four cricketers who were blamed for violate code of conduct after traveling to India without any notice.
Ansar asked them to submit an explanation within three days after the women cricketers got the show-cause notice.
‘Usually the Bangladesh Cricket Board informs Ansar before any national engagement but this time the BCB notified Ansar very lately. That is why Ansar gave us a show-cause letter,’ said Ayesha Akhter to reporters on Thursday.
Golam Kibria, director of sports, Bangladesh Ansar also confirmed the matter.
‘They [players] did not issue any notice to us and they did not seek any permission from Bangladesh Ansar. They violated Ansar’s discipline so we issued them show-cause notices,’ he said.
