Urge women entrepreneurs
Women entrepreneurs have urged the country’s two main political leaders, prime minister Sheikh Hasina and opposition leader Khaleda Zia, to seat in dialogue for establishing peace and avoid hartal for the sake of business and economy of the country.
They also called the highest policymakers of the two political parties to take initiative so that hartal could be banned.
They made the call in a discussion titled ‘The economic situation of the current perspective’ organised by the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries at its office in the capital on Monday.
A good number of women entrepreneurs including some directors of the FBCCI were present at the discussion, chaired by Monwara Hakim Ali, first vice-president of the apex trade body.
The speakers said hartal and political violence were damaging the business and economic prospects. So, nobody should support that and the time has come to be united against such kind of activities in the country, they said.
The women entrepreneurs said they wanted the politics that did not allow hartal and violence.
Monwara Hakim Ali urged the women entrepreneurs to join a scheduled business conference organised by the FBCCI at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre on April 26 to be united against hartal.
