Bangladeshi golfer Siddikur Rahman posted a two-over-par 74 in the second and final round of the Open Qualifying Series – Thailand event on Friday to finish at eight-over, well out of contention for a spot in The Open Championship in July. Siddik finished in a tie for 54th out of 75 entrants. He shot a 78 in round one on Thursday. Japan’s Hiroshi Iwata won the event after shooting a second-round 71 to finish at five-under, one stroke ahead of China’s Wu Ashun and Chinese Taipei amateur Pan Cheng-tsung. Japan’s Tsukada Yoshinobu, one of four players at -3, prevailed in a playoff to claim the fourth and final place in The Open Championship at Royal Liverpool, Hoylake.
