Bangladesh golfer Siddikur Rahman made some improvement in the King’s Cup on Saturday as he hit a one-under-par 71 in the third round. The 29-year old Bangladeshi golfer started the penultimate round in joint 35th position at the Black Mountain Golf Club in Hua Hin, Thailand but a reasonably good display enabled him to rise to 20th position, tied with 11 other golfers.Siddik struck six birdies in the first two days of the $1,000,000 tournament but registered the same number of birdies on Saturday alone that allowed him to move up the standings going into the final round today.
Three bogeys and a double bogey in the 2nd, 5th, 15th and 11th hole respectively failed to dampen his mood as he carded birdies in the 4th, 6th, 7th, 9th, 16th and 18th holes.
South Korea’s Mo Joong Kyung led the standings after round three with an overall nine-under-par 207. Indian golfer Anirban Lahiri occupied seventh position while Australia’s Scott Hend was a spot behind Lahiri in joint eighth.
