Slum dwellers in the Rajshahi city on Tuesday received Tk 2.23 crore for their settlement improvement along with uplifting living and livelihood condition.
The grants were disbursed among 67 Community Development Committees of 11 clusters under the project of Urban Partnership for Poverty Reduction (UPPR).In an effort to address the vulnerable issues of the slum dwellers, Local Government Engineering Department has been implementing the project in the city with financial support from UNDP in association with UKaid and UNHabitat.
