Talented musician Swani Zubayeer will direct the music of a film for the first time. The film titled Ghashphool directed by Akram Khan contains two songs namely – Shomoy theme giyechhilo, lyric by Mohammad Rafiquazzaman and composed by Lucky Akhand; and Bohudin por, lyric and composition
by Swani Zubayeer herself.
‘I have lent my voice for Shomoy theme giyechhilo while Priyanka Gope sang the other song,’ said Swani Zubayeer, who also told that it was a nice experience for him to work as film music director.
‘It was an exciting job to direct music for a film. Generally, I do not work for films, but I really liked the script of Ghashphool and agreed to work for it,’ said Zubayeer, who also informed that Ghashphool, which is a touching love story, stars Naila Azad Nipur, Manos Bandhopadhyay, Asif and others.
‘I have also designed the total sound of the film with a western punch in the music of the film,’ further said Zubayeer.
Zubayeer also informed that the shooting of the film is scheduled to begin on November 15 and will hopeful be released sometime by the mid of 2014.

Zubayeer began his
musical journey as a vocalist. In 1992 he went to India to study English
literature in Kumaun University and had the great fortune to become the disciple of Ustad Mazhar Ali Khan and Jawad Ali Khan, the grand sons of one the greatest vocal maestros Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali Khan.
Much later afterwards, he continued his musical education at the Royal University College of Music in Stockholm.
After completing his master’s degree from Sweden in 2006 Zubayeer came back to Bangladesh and began teaching composition to youngsters.
