Following the declaration of general amnesty by the Saudi Arabian government to all expatriates who violated residency and labour regulations before April 6, 2013, thousands of Bangladeshi expatriates have rushed to the Bangladesh embassy in Riyadh and general consulate in Jeddah. They are seeking new passports, renewal of their passports, and travel permits.
