Manikganj district unit of Jatiya Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad celebrated Tagore’s 152nd birth anniversary at Manikganj Government Women
College on Wednesday evening.
Professor Abul Islam Shikder, president of Manikganj district unit of Jatiya Rabindra Sangeet Sammilan Parishad,
presided over the discussion session.Local Tagore singers like Mousumy Mandal, Alpana Sarker, Satyabrata Chakrabarty, Ananta Saha, Senjuti Nowroz, Ratan Saha, Beauty Acharja, Nina Rahman, rendered Tagore songs.
Syed Nazmul Hasan Lovon, Atikur Rahman Mithu and Saiful Alam Dipu recited Tagore poems.
The district administration also organised a separate programme at the officers’ club.
Artistes of Manikganj Zila Shilpakala Academy rendered songs and recited poems at the programme.
