Telenor Group president and CEO Jon Fredrik Baksaas on Monday stressed the need for clarifications to the regulatory framework that
provides foreign investors with predictability and stability.
He expressed this opinion during a courtesy call on prime minister Sheikh Hasina at her office in the city.
Norway trade and industry minister Trond Giske was also with Jon during the meeting, said a press release.
During the meeting, Jon shared his views on the future role of the Bangladeshi telecom industry, and how a predictable and investment friendly framework enables further investment to connect the more than 5 crore people without access to communication services and to roll out a state of the art 3G network delivering on the ‘Digital Bangladesh’ promise.
