Theatre ULAB, the student drama club of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh, staged Khudhito Pashan, inspired by Tagore’s short story having the same title, on Thursday at Chhayanaut Auditorium.
ITI worldwide president Ramendu Mojumdar was the chief guest, and ULAB vice chancellor Imran Rahman was the special guest of the program. Directed by ABS Jem, the play revolves around a government employee relating his experience of moving into a haunted Moghul-era mansion. He reveals how he encounters a courtesan there, falls in love with her and she turns out to be a ghost. The human and inhuman presence and familiarity, come together for this eerie otherworldly love story.
Sajid Sharif Hossain, Moinul Nahid, Sabnam Rahman, Moinul Habib Noman, Shanto, Kazi Sadia, Farhan Hossain, Deep, Abdullah Al Morshed Mishu, and Imran Hossain performed in different characters.
