A three-day information and communication technology fair launched at Uttara Community Centre in Rajshahi on Thursday.
Inpace Management Services Limited organised the fair stilled Rajshahi ICT Fair 2010.
HP Imaging and Printing Group and Intel Corporation sponsored the fair.
At around 2030pm on behalf of Rajshahi mayor AKM Khairuzzaman Liton
Rajshahi panel mayor Shariful Islam Babu inaugurated the fair at 8:30pm as the chief guest, while Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology computer science and engineering department professor Md Shahid-uz-Zaman, Bangladesh Computer Samity president Mustafa Jabbar joined the session as special guests.
IT professionals, teachers and students of different educational institution were also present at the inaugural ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Inpace Management Services Limited director Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman said the fair would enable the Rajshahi citizens to get acquainted with latest technologies.
The organisers said visitors would have entrance from 10:00am to 10:00pm in those days by paying Tk 10 as entry fees.
The school students would have special entrance without paying the fees, they said.
