Chasing a decent target of 217 runs, Zimbabwe lost wickets at regular intervals before they were bowled out for 125 runs in 36.3 overs.
In-form Sikandar Raza made 39 runs while skipper Graeme Cremer scored 23 runs for Zimbabwe.
Sakib al Hasan produced yet another all-round effort as claimed 3-34 while scoring 51 off 80 deliveries with bat.
Mashrafee bin Murtaza, Sunzamul Islam and Mustafizur Rahman all chipped in with claiming two wickets each for the Tigers who registered three consecutive victories in the series.
Earlier, Zimbabwe restricted Bangladesh to 216-9 in 50 overs despite Tamim and Sakib each scoring a fifty.
Man-of-the-match Tamim scored highest 76 off 105 balls- his third fifties in as many matches of the tournament- which, at 66, also made him first Bangladeshi to complete 6,000 runs in ODIs.
Tamim earlier at 42 also become the highest run-getter in ODI in a single venue, surpassing for Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya’s 2,514 runs at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

Zimbabwe still have the chance to qualify for the finals on January 27 if hosts Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by big margin in their next match on Thursday.
The Tigers have already booked their final-berth winning after winning the first two matches of the tournament.
