A fourty-day tour for Sundarbans on caravan of cars will begin on Friday for publicity of the world’s largest mangrove forests in the world, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation and Bengal Tours Ltd. have jointly organized the program, titled ‘Caravan Tour for Sundarbans‘.
The first phase of the campaign program for Sundarbans will begin Friday and continue till August 5 while the second phase will be held from September 15-18, organisers said.
On the occasion, Bangladesh Tourism Board and Bangladesh Parjaton Corporation arranged a press conference on Wednesday afternoon at the National Press Club.
Speaking at the press conference, Civil Aviation and Tourism Minister GM Qader said the government and the opposition party have to work hand in hand to elect Sundarbans the natural wonder of the world.
He said if the Sundarbans is elected as the new wonder of the world, Bangladesh would be known widely in the international arena and which will help increase inflow of tourists into the country.
