A tourist drowned in the Piyan River at Jaflong under Goainghat upazila in the district on Saturday. The deceased was identified as Radwanush Shalehin Shuva, 25, son of Khorshed Alam at Kadamtaly Shanir Akhra area in capital city. Police said that Shuva along with his family member went to take a bath in the river water. At the time of bathing he went missing at around 12:30 pm. Later, locals recovered his body after two hours of missing. Goainghat Police Station confirmed the incident.
