Different satellite channels will celebrate Friendship Day through airing special programmes. Here are highlights of some of them.
“Bondhu Dibosher Gaan” on Banglavision
Live musical programme “Bhondhu Dibosher Gaan” will be aired tonight on Banglavision at 11:25pm. Young singers Mahadi and Adit will appear on the programme as guests. They will perform songs on request from the viewers while another contemporary singer, Elita Karim will host the show. Nahid Ahmed Biplob is the producer of the programme.
Live programme from Beauty Boarding on Channel i
To celebrate Friendship Day, Channel i takes a different initiative. The channel will air a live programme from Beauty Boarding of Old Dhaka, at 3:05pm. The programme will feature an adda by noted poets, writers, singers, artists, journalists, actors and reciters. Noted litterateur Imdadul Haque Milon will host the programme. Among guests to be present at the programme are educationist Abdullah Abu Sayeed, poets Rafiq Azad, Belal Chowdhury and Nirmalendu Goon, Nazrul artiste Ferdous Ara and reciter Kazi Arif. They will take part in an exclusive adda through singing songs and reciting poems. Amirul Islam is the producer of the programme.
“Hello Friends” on ETV
Ekushey Television will air special programme “Hello Friends” on the occasion of Friendship Day. The programme will be aired this evening at 6:30pm. Hosted by Puja Sengupta, the programme will feature popular signers Ferdousi Rahman and Ayub Bachchu, actor-reciter Jayanta Chattopadhyaya and film actress Nipun. The artistes will share stories about their special friends. Masudul Haque is the producer of the programme.
TV play “Jora Shaliker Galpo” on Desh TV
Desh TV will air special single episode play “Jora Shaliker Galpo” tonight at 9:45pm. Written by Mashiul Alam, the play is directed by Akram Khan. The story of the play circles around Kabir and Runu. Kabir lost his mother and father when he was young. On the other hand Runu also lost her mother at an early age. Kabir and Runu get married. They hope for a happy conjugal life. Kabir always tells Runu story of ‘Jora Shalik’. But sorrow comes to Kabir’s life, as Runu dies suddenly. Standing beside his dead wife, Kabir tells the tale of ‘Jora Shalik’ to himself. The cast of the play includes Joya Ahsan, Parvez Murad and Kochi Khandakar.
