The two-day ‘Entrepreneurs’ Haat (market place)’ organised by Bangladesh Open Source Network and Bangladesh Association of Software and Information Services began at the
Women Voluntary Association auditorium at Dhanmondi in Dhaka on Sunday.
Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Md Sabur Khan inaugurated the event with the slogan ‘We will not look for job but to give job.’
Innovative young entrepreneurs from IT, handicrafts, software, renewable energy, readymade garments, jewellery, herbal and publishing sectors showcased various products produced by them in the event.
At the inaugural session, Sabur Khan urged the young entrepreneurs to come up with vision and strong mindset as they can create a good number of employment opportunities for people.
He said interested entrepreneurs can submit their business ideas to the DCCI through the web site business.org.bd to get financial and technical support
under DCCI’s creating 2,000 entrepreneurs programme.
BdOSN general secretary Munir Hasan, BASIS senior vice-president Syed Almas Kabir, Datasoft Ltd managing director Mahboob Zaman and BD Venture Ltd managing director Shakhwat Hossain were present, among others, at the programme.
