A woman and a minor domestic help allegedly committed suicide in the Dhaka city’s Tejgaon and Mazar Road on Wednesday.
At Tejgaon, a minor domestic help allegedly committed suicide at her
employer’s house at West Nakahlpara Wednesday.The deceased, Morsheda Akhter Khushi, 14, daughter of Mosleh Uddin, was from Muktagachha in Mymansing.
The minor girl might have committed suicide at her employer’s house 382/1/1 at West Nakahlpara in the morning of the day and later the employer, Javed Iqbal Pathan, took her to Metropolitan Hospital at Mohakhali where doctors declared her dead at about 10:00am, police said.
Being informed, a police team, led by Tejgaon industrial police subinspector Afzal Hossain, recovered the body and from the house as the employer brought the body back to the house and sent it to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
The body bore scare in the throat, Afzal added.
An unnatural case was filed.
At Mazar Road under Mirpur, a housewife allegedly committed suicide at her flat early Wednesday.
The deceased, Alo Begum, 26, used to reside with her husband at house 37/A, at 2nd Colony at Mazar Road.
Alo’s elder brother Sujam Mian said his brother-in-law Afazal Hossain informed him at about 3:00am that his sister had committed suicide.
He rushed to the house, and found his sister lying on the floor. Afzal went out saying that he was coming back with a vehicle to take Alo to hospital, but he had not returned, Sujan added.
Later, Sujan took Alo to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where on-duty doctor declared her dead at about 4:30am.
On information, Darussalam police subinspector Abdus Salam recovered the body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy.
The body bore scare in the throat, Salam added.
An unnatural death case was filed.
