The Detective Branch of the Chittagong Metropolitan Police seized a huge quantity of pirated books of the national curriculum from a bookshop at
Andarkilla in the port city Monday morning.
The DB team also arrested two people, including the manager of the library, in this connection.
The arrested were identified as Abul Kalam, 60, manager, and Rashed Chowdhury, 28, a salesman, of the library.

Monday morning and seized 3,838 books of different classes, printed by the National Curriculum Textbook Board and distributed by the government free of cost for the students.
“We detained the manager and a salesman of the library in this connection but the owner of the bookshop, Monir Hossain, went into hiding since the drive,’ ADC Tareq said, adding that the detained confessed that they had been pirating and selling the books.
A case was filed with the Kotwali police, the ADC said.
