Two people including a woman died in road accidents in the capital on Friday.
At Matijheel, a man died when a bus ran over him.
The deceased, Abdur Rahman, 32, was a cleaner at Border Guard Bangladesh headquarters and from Debipur at Laxsmipur.The accident took place when a bus of Utsab
Paribahan (Dhaka Metro Ga 14-0501) ran over
him WAPDA Building at about 6:30am, leaving him dead on the spot, police said.
On information, Motijheel police subinspector Uzzal Hossain recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College morgue for autopsy.
Police seized the bus and a case was filed.
At Firmgate, a woman was crushed under a vehicle in front of Tejgaon College at about 6:45am.
The deceased, Rami
Begum, 38, was from Daripara at Shimongi in Nasingdi.
On information, Tejgaon police subinspector Nitesh Chandra Biswash recovered the body and sent it to the morgue.
A case was filed.
