The second and final four-day match between Bangladesh Under-19 team and Sri Lanka Under-19 side ended in a draw at the Sylhet Divisional Stadium on
Friday after the end of the fourth and final day’s play.
After two days were washed out in the previous three days, Bangladesh resumed the fourth day on their overnight score of 19-0 replying to the visitors’ first innings score of 185 all out.
Skipper Mosaddek Hossain (74), Nazmul Hossain Shanto (69) and Mehedy Hasan (59) helped the hosts post 271-7 before declaring their innings with a lead of 86 runs.
Ramesh Mendis scalped 4-76 as the Sri Lankan Under-19 team came back to register 59-0 in their second innings before the umpires brought an end to the day’s proceedings.
The first four-dayer also ended in a draw. The two teams will now contest a five-match one-day international series, beginning with the first one-dayer at Sylhet on Saturday.
