Two men died form electrocution on Thursday in separate incidents in Chittagong.
In the city’s Chakbazar area under Bakalia police station, a PDB man was electrocuted while he was working at an electric pole.
The deceased was identified as Habibur Rahaman, 18, son of the late Lal Mian, from Trishal upazila in Mymansing.
Police said he was electrocuted while he was working at the electric pole at Pashchim Bakalia at around 9:30am.
PDB men and police recovered the body and sent it to the CMCH morgue.
In another incident, a security guard was electrocuted at Maizartek in Patiya upazila.
The deceased is Tarikul Islam, 25 son of Rezwan Ullah, from Panchari of Khagrachari.
CMCH police outpost sources said Tarikul came in contact in a live
electric wire while he was cutting branches of a coconut tree in S Alam Cold Storage.
Locals rescued him and took him to the CMCH with critical injuries where the on-duty doctors declared him dead.
