The government has cancelled the two-week-long summer vacation for secondary schools and colleges across the country.
The vacation was scheduled to begin tomorrow but it would be later adjusted with the winter vacation in December, Education Ministry Public Relations Officer (PRO) Abul Khair said.
He said that the ministry took the decision keeping in mind the possible “learning loss” of students ahead of the next parliamentary polls.
The 12th national election is scheduled to be held in late December this year or early January next year.
