The Bangladesh Under-23 national football team is expected to play a friendly match as part of preparation for the upcoming Asian Games against a top-tier Malaysian Super League team in the first week of September, said a BFF official on Monday.
The final decision will be made today after receiving the reply from the Malaysia Football Federation. The Bangladesh team is likely to leave Dhaka for Malaysia on September 6 and the match is due to be held on September 8.
‘We are trying to send the Under-23 national team to Malaysia to play a preparation match for the Asian Games,’ BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag said on Monday.
‘If everything goes according to plan we will leave for South Korea after playing the game in Malaysia,’ he added.
